For a simple layout it's taken me a couple of evenings just to get the track dropper wires plumbed in.....
There are still the point motors to be connected, auto coupling solenoids to be installed, along with the baseboard to baseboard connectors. It's also about time I firmed up my thoughts as to how to build and where to site the control panel! The wiring will need a little bit of a tidy, I'd better leave this until my wiring is proven....... but I'm happy with the progress so far.

What type of auto couplings are you going to use - AJ's?
Hi Dave
I've not decided on which auto couplings to use yet, both AJs and Sprat & winkle are in the frame. My local area group have members using Sprat & Winkle and three links couplings but no one using AJs.
I've always thought that Sprat & Winkle are too bulky but after operating a layout that used them, under exhibition conditions, I have warmed to them.
Tredethy is suppose to be a test layout so I'm hoping to do some experimenting.
Ah ! The strange-shaped baseboard makes a return !
For AJ couplings, see the link to RM Web at http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/blog/24/entry-2352-aj-couplings/ It is supposed to be a 'simple' jig but having used S&W in the past, AJs always looked much neater.

Should make you feel better !!
Thanks for the RMWeb link Bob.
The new layout is coming on well....
Great work on the wiring!
After about three months of delaying it, I stopped procrastinating yesterday and started drilling the holes to wire my demo board. I hope to get much more done today, but the challenge is that I'm using German point motors, and the wiring diagrams are not the best translation that I've ever read :-/
